Selected Works of Daniela Krolupperová in Leisure Education for Reading

This thesis is concerned with usage of selected works of contemporary Czech author Daniela Krolupperová in leisure time education to reading. The thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. In theoretical part the curriculum vitae and literary creation of the crucial author of publishing houses Albatros, Mladá fronta and Portál Daniela Kroulupperová is presented. Further, literary genre preferred by the author, target groups and selected methods of her work incl. texts used in practical parts, are described. There are also working sheets, their verification in practice and reflection in practical part.
Leisure-time padagogues workshop: War as the theme of literature for Children and Youth

The diploma thesis deals with the topic of war in literature for children and youth and its use in leisure time pedagogy. The thesis is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part analyzes the war in a broader context (characteristics, wars of the 20th century, war literature), a selection of contemporary war literature for children and youth, suitable teaching methods for working with literary texts and developmental specifics of school-age children. The practical part contains a set of methodical sheets from the chosen books, containing their verification in practice, including reflection.
Literary text as a tool of environmental education in Leisure Education

The thesis deals with literary text as a tool for environmental education in leasure education. The theoretical part describes an approach to environmental education in Framework Education Programme for Preschool Education. The theoretical part is also focused on the function of environmental education in development of personality of preschool children, defines forest kindergartens and their pedagogical approach. The theoretical part also deals with literary text as a tool to develop abilities through environmental education and offers a list and descriptions of selected educational methods useful when working with literary text in kindergartens. The content of practical part concentrates on creation of set of worskheeets and methodical sheets and their verification in a forest kindergarten.
Media education - incorporation into language education and teaching materials for teachers of English

Messages delivered by the media are often used as a source of authentic texts in language teaching, yet there is not a sufficient amount of works dealing with the connection between media education and language teaching. The theoretical part of this thesis, therefore, tries to describe this relationship from the perspective of media studies, linguistics and language teaching methodology. The aim of this work is to create teaching materials incorporating media education into teaching English as a foreign language. The materials consist of worksheets for students and methodological support for teachers. The thesis is devoted to Development education. It focuses mainly on the possibility of inclusion of DE into the formal education with use of active learning techniques. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The theoretical part is made on the basis of the literature covering topic of DE. The practical part describes the schooling concept, which is including the DE into formal education.
The issue of teaching the semantics on the second grade of primary school

The diploma thesis is focused on the issue of teaching semantics to elementary school students from 6th to 9th grade. The theoretical part consists of organizing existing notes about the theory of word meaning, explaining the basic terminology and describing the inner relationships between words. The main focus is on the didactic aspect of teaching semantics and how it is implemented in the contemporary textbooks of the Czech language. In the practical part, the main goal is to create an exhaustive learning materials for the students from the 6th to 9th grade (methodical papers, worksheets, presentations) which can be used for teaching the word meaning at school.

The use of classical and contemporary Children's literature to the reading literacy development of learners at 1st degree of elementary

The thesis deals with the use of classical and contemporary literature for the development of reading literacy at primary schools. We focused mainly on the research of popular literature of third to fifth grade primary pupils. We also investigated what extra-curricular reading materials teachers choose to develop their pupils' reading literacy and how they work with them. In the theoretical part, we present a brief insight into the issue of reading literacy, current research results, methods, strategies and factors influencing reading literacy. In the research part, we present the results of a questionnaire survey of pupils' parents, where the main attention was paid to the preferences of titles, authors and genres of their children. In the practical part, we followed up on the results of these surveys and designed worksheets with activities aimed at promoting reading comprehension and developing reading strategies. We focused mainly on their motivational and entertaining character. Worksheets with activities were verified in selected classes of primary schools and supplemented by rich reflection from practice.
Teplice Botanical Garden as a Place of Secondary School's Lessons

This diploma thesis is dealing with the theme of use of the Botanic Garden in Teplice to teach Science - especially Botany at lower-secondary school. The thesis is divided into three parts. In the first part I'm dealing with mapping of botanic gardens in the Czech republic - mainly focusing on the Botanic Garden in Teplice. In the second part I'm searching for theoretic information to create my own worksheets, and explanation of the teaching method - excursion according to the available specialized didactic literature. In the third part I'm dealing with the analysis of questionnaire and according to the availably gained information with the creation of my own worksheets. After the questionnaire there were nine worksheets with the concrete teaching methodology of botany and methodological worksheets. Afterwards the worksheet called ¨Excursion itself¨ was verified. Altogether nine worksheets with the methodological outcomes were created. The pupils were filling in the worksheets during the excursion and then the pupils' questionnaire was made to gain the feedback.
